Wind Turbine Project

Along with the solar panels, the wind turbine adds DC current to the 8 batteries in the greenhouse of the Environmental Science class.  An inverter converts the DC current to AC current for use in the classroom.  Funding for this project came through a New York State Electric and Gas (local utility) grant awarded to the students in 2002.
