Background Google Docs has been around for a couple of years now. It specifically solves the problem that occurs when several people work on the same document. When undertaking a major project with many people, multiple versions of the same document may exist when a team devises an organizational document. This can lead to confusion, frustration and additional work just trying figure out which version is the latest one. The first video is a brief overview produced by Google to explain how Docs works.

One of the Google Docs that SES recommends to use is Google Spreadsheet. For those who have used Microsoft Excel, they will find that this application is very similar to its computer-based rival, except that you can share the same document virtually and collaborate in real time. There are many advanced features that can be integrated into a Spreadsheet, but we’ll save that for another posting. The video below discusses briefly how to get the most from the application.

Google Docs automatically saves information that is stored in it. The documents that SES has provided will be automatically saved when you finish any updates that you make to it. If you’d like to view more about what you can do with Google Docs, check out any of the links below where you will find more video tutorials that will answer your burning questions. If they don’t, leave a comment below and I will get back with you.
